An installation comprising two works 'Untitled Painting VIII' and 'Untitled Painting IX' 2013 made as a special architectural intervention for the House of St. Barnabas, a private members club established to benefit the charitable foundation of the same name, at the invitation of curator Katie Heller.
These works form part of 'The Collective' an ongoing exhibition which is "a showcase of inspiring and uplifting visual art from established and emerging artists." Supporting the club’s spirit of collaboration, artists, galleries and curators either permanently donate or loan works to the club generally for a period of three months. As a special project these two paintings are on loan until 2015.
Another Alan Rankle work 'Study for Montsegur' 2013 features in the permanent collection of The House of St. Barnabas which also includes works by Martin Creed, Tracey Emin, Jeremy Deller, Cathy de Monchaux, Josephine King, Mark Titchner, Yinka Shonibare MBE, Sir Peter Blake, Chris Levine, Jeff Koons, Djordji Ozbolt, Rankin, Neil Gall, Kevin Francis Gray, Gordon Cheung, Jamie Shovlin, Simon English and Julie Verhoeven.
